Another Sunday Down

Ahh....life of the strange scheduled stylist. Few people work on Sundays, which is exactly why I'm always in the salon that day - because it's everyone else's day off! Utica Square is the only location open that day, but it's nice and quiet because there's only 3 or 4 stylists that work on Sunday. So calm and peaceful...

Today I only had one wedding, which hopefully I have some pictures to post soon from! My bride looked amazing especially after the two hours that I spent making sure every last hair was in place. Her daughter kept us extremely entertained during the time; I believe she was around 2 and completely adorable. Jaime came in wanting something different, fun, and creative and with a little braiding, twisting, curling, pinning and twirling, I believe we accomplished it. Off it was for some vows and a huge party!

The remainder of the afternoon was fairly calm as well, with the exception of one stressed out girl, poor thing. Haircuts and the salon visits are supposed to be fun, but I understand bad experiences can sometimes get in the way. I like to begin each visit by talking about what you would like to do with your hair, the consultation. I would say, of my new guests, 75% of them don't like what they have and/or are looking for a change. I like to know what you don't currently like, but I love to know what you DO like even more. Only listing the negatives leaves me with a very blank picture and I like to have a least an outline of what you like. Education is very important to me as well, because I want you to know how to recreate what we do in the salon at home, and how to take care of your hair.
